About

The Careers After Biological Sciences website has evolved from a seminar series of the same name co-ordinated by Dr Chris Willmott at the University of Leicester.

Praise for the CABS series:

“I found the talks very useful in helping me to decide about my future career path. Before coming to the session, I had no idea about the scale and variety of careers that could follow a Biological Sciences degree. Even though some of the careers discussed did not personally interest me, the variety of careers discussed helped to broaden my viewpoint about possible careers.”

Please note that whilst every effort is made to ensure that the information on the site is correct, some of the details included in talks may have changed since they were initially presented.

    Hi Chris

Really impressed by your blog, which I’ve just written about on our postgrad careers blog at University of Manchester (http://manchesterpgcareers.wordpress.com)

We do a lot of careers events here but don’t do enough to capture them for future reference, so this is a good prompt to stamp my feet and insist that we record/video more of our live events.

    Best regards
    Elizabeth Wilkinson

BTW I arrived here by following a trail from Alan Cann, who I met a couple of days ago – now trying to avoid spending all my time on the Twitter’n’blog trail…

What a fantastic blog idea! Very impressed with the scope of careers. As a grad student in limbo it’s nice see that I have options, and will be a great resource I can share with my students at the University of Western Ontario.

    Thanks!
