Careers from Science: Conversion to Law

March 20, 2010

Leigh Wodke [BSc(H0ns) Biological Sciences (Biochemistry), 2004] and Ed McFarlane [(BSc(Hons) Biological Sciences, 1989] offered advice for those anyone considering transferring to legal practice after their initial Bioscience degree.

Initially Leigh gave some background information on the different roles fulfilled by Solicitors, Barristers and other jobs requiring legal training. She spoke about the entry routes and the likely costs involved.

Following on, Ed described some of his work as Legal Adviser for the employer’s association EEF (formerly the Engineering Employer’s Federation).

It is hoped that audio recordings of Leigh and Ed’s presentations will be added shortly.
